hi..
would it be possible to make adventure games with Awakening? something on the lines of TellTales Sam & Max

I currently make flash adventures with pre rendered images, so i'm going thro all the trouble making 3D world then flattening to 2D, so maybe its time to move a step forward into total 3D

i'm having probs playing the online tuts, firefox refuses to load the plug in and IE comes up with un none error Confused

Edit

ok got Firefox to play the tutorials
i tryed to upload the hall demo just to see how it looked on the web, the scene loads then comes up with an error

Awakening is competent for that.

sorry, the web3d plugin for awakening2.5 beta is still work in progress, it'll released soon. If you use awakening2.0 to publish a scene, it should works fine in firefox, but in IE is have problem for some scenes. We'll improved the web3d plugin of IE after Awakening2.5 released.

it is version 2.0 thats on the net
However it is downloading the files to my temp folder, if i put a player in there it'll run it!

this is the htm i created
Code:
<!-- jave script for installing winds3d player for firefox -->

<script Language="JavaScript">

function compareversion()
{ return InstallTrigger.compareVersion('@awingsoft.com/Winds3DPlayer','2.0.0.8'); }

function installplugin()
{
var xpi={'Winds3D Player for Mozilla':'http://www.awingsoft.com/zips/WindsPly.xpi'};
InstallTrigger.install(xpi);
}

//if (compareversion()<0) installplugin();

</script>

<!-- for IE -->
<object classid="clsid:17A54E7D-A9D4-11D8-9552-00E04CB09903" id="WindsPlayerAX"
codebase="http://www.awingsoft.com/zips/WindsPly.CAB#version=1,3,2,0"
width="640" height="480">
<param name="SceneURL" value="http://www.nigecstudios.uk.to/test/hall.exe">

<!-- for FireFox -->
<embed type=application/x-awingsoft-winds3d
pluginspage=http://www.awingsoft.com/web3d/web3d.htm
width=640 height=480
src=http://www.nigecstudios.uk.to/test/hall.exe>

</object>

<p>
<a href="#" onClick="installplugin()">Manually install the Winds3D Player for FireFox</a>
</p>

</body>
</html>

its ok i figured it out

i don't know if its relevant but the line for Firefox in the previously posted code

Code:
src=http://www.nigecstudios.uk.to/test/hall.exe>
doesn't have " at the start of http://....
I.E.
Code:
src="http://www.nigecstudios.uk.to/test/hall.exe">

BUT! the main problem was me Embarassed i packed the exe from within a folder not from outside a folder, so everything was going into temp files root, rather than into a "hall" folder

so it works great now Very Happy

It looks a great program and i hope to have something to show very shortly

I'm just getting to grips with Sketchup, i normally use Truespace but its proviing difficult to get the scale right

this is a sceen i did for a flash game i'm doing, the plan is to recreate it in Awakening
it uses toon shaders to get strong out lines, which in turn makes it look look 2D
