ATI's demo of Rendering with Natural Light is gorgeous; so we have made a similar one with the incoming AwakeningII. The AwakeningII use dx9.0c, and fully supports almost all dx9 features like hdr lighting, subsurface scattering, etc.

are you sticking with LUA? Quite a few other developers seem to be switching to Ruby rather than sticking with LUA

Sure, Ruby is an excellent script language; but currently no plan to adopt it. Lua also has advantage: compact, clean, fast.

What sort of fps should it run at? memory usage and cpu wasn't bad at all but the fps was 5 to 6 fps

Try turn off Blur Effect. In my Geforce 210 (256M) card, it's about 30 fps in full screen 1024 x768 resolution.

it only went up to 8fps even with mirror and shadows off

Thanks for your information. Maybe a integraded 3d chip is bit hard for HDR rendering.

I've always had issues with the chip, If i update the drivers the old Awakening started messing up, when I had XP I was getting the windows blue screen of death
